The book is addressed especially to the students of the Military Medicine specialization, in fact comprising a synthesis of the evolution and development of medicine on Romanian territory from the ancient period to the contemporary era. Valuable through the historiographical synthesis, but also through the issues addressed, the paper represents a valuable contribution to the knowledge of Romanian military medicine.
